POLS Biology journal recently issued a huge study for the database includes the list of the best 2% of scientists around the world in 22 main scientific fields and 176 minor specializations. The list includes 3 scientists of Aswan University among the best list 2% of scientists worldwide in their specializations, who are:
1- Prof. Mohammad Najeeb Rashid, Faculty of Science – Environmental Sciences Field.
2- Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Rashad, Faculty of Science – Mechanical Engineering and Transportation.
3- Prof. Mohammad Abdulaziz Muhalal Orabi, Faculty of Engineering – Electrical and Electronic Engineering Field.
The importance of this study stems from its reliance on the SCOPUS database and its analysis by using standardized and measuring algorithms and measurements in order to achieve accurate and reliable results include the h-index and hm-index citations and others standards; this study ended with a list includes the top 2% scientists from the scientists worldwide in their specializations. The list includes only from Egypt 219 scientists in various specializations, and from Aswan University in the field of environmental science Prof.Mohammad Najeeb Rashid who got the ranked number 824 out of the total 66925, and he is among only 5 scientists in this specialization at Egypt.
In the field of Mechanical Engineering and Transportation Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Rashad got the ranked number 880 out of the total 92645, the list includes only 15 scientists in this specialization. Prof. Mohammad Abdulaziz Muhalal Orabi in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Field came in the ranked number 1807 out of the total 87611 in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Field, while the list includes only 7 scientists in this filed from Egypt.
