Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President said that Aswan University witnessed a boom in the scientific research outputs in recent years and this is done through a product of a series of measures that the university has taken that would enhance the scientific research and its outputs in terms of the quality and quantity of research. About this matter, the university followed a developing scientific methodology with putting strategies and policies compatible with the international standards that led to reflect its effect on appearing the university in many global classifications and achieved to globally, locally, and regionally advanced positions.
Prof.Ahmed Ghallab added that’s what appeared so clear through the SCOPUS database SciVal analyst while the database showed powers of Aswan University in the best three scientific fields groups in terms of outputs through recent years (2017-2020) that is classified as the most important 5% of three scientific fields groups globally which are ( Electric Power Transmission Networks; Wind Power; Electric Power Distribution– Electric Potential; Electric Inverters; DC-DC Converters– Heat Transfer; Nusselt Number; Natural Convection), where Aswan University ranked 83 globally and the first on the level of Africa in terms of scientific fields groups ”Electric Power Transmission Networks; Wind Power; Electric Power Distribution”.
In this field, Dr.Salah Kaml from Aswan University has toped at the level of the black continent Where advanced the first position on the level of Africa and enrolled among the top 500 researchers worldwide (the fifteenth position globally). In the fields of “Electric Potential; Electric Inverters; DC-DC Converters” Aswan University got the third position on the level of Africa and the first position on the level of the Arab Republic of Egypt; as well as Africa came at the topping in this field for one of Aswan University scientists Dr.Mohammed Abdul Aziz Muhalal Orabi and enrolled among the best 500 researchers worldwide and got the rank ( hundred and thirty-seven globally).
According to the fields of “Heat Transfer; Nusselt Number; Natural Convection ”Dr. Ayman Othman – Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research indicated to Aswan University came in sixth place in Africa and second in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Prof.Ahmed Mohamed Rashad from Aswan University ranked fifth at the level of Africa and first among the Arab Republic of Egypt, and also among the top 500 researchers worldwide (seventy-fourth place globally). Aswan University came in first place in Africa for a number of researchers in the group of “Partial Discharges; Insulation; Power Transformers
