A delegation from Aswan University headed by prof: Ahmed Ghalab –the university president has met Dr:Mohamed Abdel A’aty_minister of water resources and irrigation to consider the possibility of establishing a branch of Aswan university in Toshka to become a core of new urban community inside this huge national project.
The delegation included prof: Ahmed Ghalab –the university president, prof: Ayman Osman –the university’s vice president for postgraduate studies and researches.Ghalab stated that the aim of establishing a branch of the university in the project of south valley development in Toshka is to achieve the ultimate use of investments and the big infrastructure of the project in addition to developing the whole area of Toshka by Aswan university which is considered an expertise center in the governorate.
He added: it has been proposed that the university branch in Toshka will include a number of scientific faculties such as: agriculture and natural resources,science,energy engineering, and Nursing, whereas these faculties would have an instant and direct impact on the development of Toshka..
From his side prof: Ayman Osman added that ministry of irrigation has welcomed the idea of establishing a branch of Aswan university in Toshka ,and the ministry will provide all the available resources to establish the branch as soon as possible ,in addition to holding another meeting with the officials in ministry of irrigation during the next week to present the plan of Aswan university of establishing this branch and the implementation mechanisms during the next period.
