Today, Tuesday, Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President witnessed a celebration has been held by the Faculty of Energy Engineering and this in attendance of Dr. Ayman Othman, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Nadi Kamal Aziz – Director of the Quality and Accreditation Center at the University and Dr. Adel Zain Mohamed – Dean of the Faculty Energy engineering after holding the faculty’s council.
Prof.Ahmed Ghallab emphasized the importance of the scientific research role inside the University and work to create an appropriate climate for scientific research, researchers, students, academic staff, and their assistants at the University that lead to benefit the educational process; the Faculty of Energy Engineering is considered one of the important scientific faculties for the existing infrastructure equipped with laboratories for scientific, academic and applied research, and it’s distinguished from other engineering faculties with its unique specializations.
Prof.Ahmed Ghallab added that today 4 contracts have been signed for the projects that the faculty has won which are the following( Project of developing oil tests laboratories that are used in the electric insulators with a total of approximately 2.2. million l.e. , Project of developing solar power laboratories with a total of nearly 2.2. million l.e., Project of developing testing Nanotechnology laboratories with a total of approximately 1.5 million pounds. As well as the project of the educational effectiveness to achieve the standards of the national and global quality at the faculty for qualifying it the academic approval totaling some 3.3 million pounds, as well as Project of establishing an independent unit for measurement and evaluation at the Faculty of Energy Engineering to carry out objects of the educational process through the electronic evaluation and electronic correction through establishing the banks of objective and practical questions for studying courses at the faculty with totaling some 2 million pounds.
Dr.Ayman Osman -Vice University President for Postgraduate Studies & Research Affairs indicated that the contacts have been signed among Aswan University President, Dean of the faculty, Support Projects Department at the Ministry of Higher Education, and the total summit exceeded 9 million pounds and this for serving the research system at the Faculty of Energy Engineering that has prepared these competitive projects through a number of team works include academic staff and their assistants, and students. Dr.Adel Zain Aldeen explained that it’s announced about projects and submitted for them since the last March, and these projects aim to improve the quality of the educational environment and raise the level of students at the faculty by improving the laboratories, studying halls, and drawing halls which lead to the faculty gets the accreditation and quality certificate.
